High-Speed Cable Modem Access

Internet Nebraska offers cable modem access by way of the Nebraska division of the Time-Warner network. This includes the cities of Lincoln, Columbus, Auburn, Crete, Fremont, Fairbury, Seward, and York. Spam and Virus Protection

Anti-virus weaponry is more important than ever. We offer the Postini service for $1/month, and our subscribers have found it very helpful in reducing the amount of spam and the number of virus-infected pieces of mail they download. To learn more about this terrific service, see our Postini page.

TMDA -- Tagged Message Delivery Agent -- will let you filter out virtually *all* spam by employing what is known as an "approved list" approach. If someone is on your list of approved senders, you get their mail. If not, MailAgent holds delivery of their mail until they have indicated they're not spammers. This is a great way to keep objectionable junk mail from reaching your children's mailboxes, for example. To learn more about this service, see our MailAgent information.

With either Postini or MailAgent, you retain total privacy, you control all filtering, and you log in to a much tidier email box.

High-Speed Wireless Access

We are absolutely thrilled to announce our roll-out of high-speed fixed wireless Internet access! Many of our customers have been reading for years about DSL and cable modems, but haven't had an affordable way to enjoy broadband connectivity, in some locations, dial-up was as good as it gets, until now. Bringing high-speed service to people who haven't had it before has been especially important to us, and we've taken some exciting first steps toward that end.

We've installed spread-spectrum wireless equipment in Valentine, O'Neill, Norfolk, and Tilden, and we're taking orders for service in all four towns. Customers can enjoy 256K speeds (and greater) for monthly charges starting at $39.95, and absolutely no phone or cable charges are required.

We've worked very hard to put together some excellent package deals on equipment, and we're throwing in 15 hours per month of dial-up access for people who may need to grab their mail when not at home. Check out our wireless information page for details on equipment and access costs in your city.
