*** Help Desk Hours Extended ***

Beginning Monday, December 5, IN's helpdesk hours will begin at 8 a.m. William
"You-Can-Call-Him-Will" Pfrimmer joins our crew, and will be staffing the desk
during early morning hours. This, from http://www.inetnebr.com/whoweare

William Pfrimmer, user support specialist, is a recent graduate of
Southeast Community College with a major in Business Administration. He has
many years of PC expertise, and has worked in both the areas of software
   and hardware maintenance.

Our helpdesk hours are:

Mon-Thur: 8am-10pm
Fri	: 8am-6pm
Sat	: 9am-5pm
Sun	: 1pm-4pm

*** Customer Utilities ***

Need to know how much time you've been on line? Want to change your login
password? You can do this online, by going to the "Customer Utilities"
link on the Internet Nebraska home page.

To check your online time, click the "View Dial-in Usage" link. You will
be prompted for your username and password.

To change your password, click the "Change Account Password" link. You will be
prompted for your old password, then asked to enter a new one. The password
utility requires your new password to have at least two non-alphanumeric
characters in it (i.e., numbers or symbols).

In addition to the utilities mentioned above, you can also check out your
Account Information online. Just click the "View Account Information" link
(again, you will be prompted for your username and password). The information
available here is the type of account you are currently signed up for, along
with your next renewal date. If you find any errors here, please let us know
by sending email to "accounts@inetnebr.com."

Pretty handy stuff, eh?

*** Got AOL chums? ***

A lot of people have friends on AOL who love the instant messaging feature
available there. You can enjoy instant messaging your friends there, too, and
you can do it without giving a single penny to Steve Case. Check out
http://register.oscar.aol.com/cgi-bin/crabi.pl and you'll find a sign-up form
as well as a link to the software you'll need to download.

Beware, though. Directly giving your e-mail address to a place like AOL might
very well result in an increase in the amount of spam you receive. At least,
that's what staff here think and it's why none of us has tried it yet. :)

*** Domain Need A Home? ***

Internet Nebraska began hosting domains and Web pages several months ago, and
we're happy to declare it an unqualified success. From the moment we declared
ourselves "masters of our own domains" -- that is, stopped farming out the
work, signers up for space on our Web server began stampeding us. It isn't
hard to see why. All our commercial plans include:

o Registration of your virtual domain name (www.yourcompany.com) with InterNIC
o FTP and UNIX shell access to your pages, 24x7
o Full CGI execution
o All common development tools available -- PERL, C, C++, Java, and many others
o Server support for imagemaps, clocks, counters and form handling. No
  programming required!
o 24-hour access to server logs and usage statistics
o Preferential placement on Lincoln Online (http://lincoln.inetnebr.com/)

o Pages served by dedicated Sun SPARCstations
o 24-hour automated monitoring of Web server and Internet connectivity
o Daily site backups

Our Standard Web Presence Plan includes:

o 10 MB server disk space
o 1000 MB data transfer per month
o 1 POP e-mail account
o $50 startup fee
o $25/month or $99/6-months (CHEAP!)

The Premium Web Presence Plan includes:

o 20 MB of server disk space
o 2000 MB data transfer per month
o 5 POP e-mail accounts
o Major search engine registration
o SSL server for secure transactions
o $75 startup
o $35/month or $149/6-months

We also offer Web site design at extremely reasonable rates per hour, and our
custom programming is equally low-priced. Give us a call when you're ready to
get that online business off the ground, or looking to put your
already-thriving business on the Web where your competitor probably already has
his.

*** Advertise on Our Home Pages ***

What better way to advertise your business than on a Web page that is seen tens
of thousands of time every month? None, if you're paying as little as we
charge for it! Give Doug Maitland a call at our office, 434-8680, and ask him
how you can reserve banner spots on some of the hottest URL's in the state,
including our new search, kids, news, and restaurant pages. The following
businesses did, and we recommend them heartily.
