*** Help Us Take Your Money ***

You'd be surprised how many guys named John Jones a customer base our size can
contain. Well, ok, we have no one named John Jones on the system at the
moment, and that's why I picked the name. But we do have sets of three and
four people with the exact same name, and a check from one of them can be a
real bear to credit to the right person. Please help us to credit your
hard-earned money to the correct account by either jotting your username in the
memo blank of your check, or by including a copy of your bill.

*** Hey, I Can See My House from Here! ***

Perhaps you've read in the paper about the database of property values now
available online from the Lancaster County Assessor's office. What a terrific
service this is! Visit the site:

http://interlinc.ci.lincoln.ne.us/InterLinc/cnty/assess/property.htm

After you've entered your search criteria, click on the Parcel ID. You'll see
all kinds of goodies, including the most recently assessed value, usually what
it last sold for, even whether or not it has a garbage disposal. Look up much
nicer houses than your own and be grateful you don't pay the taxes on them.
Look up your enemy's house and sneer at his lack of floor space. The Internet
is too cool!

If you should visit the main InterLinc page, disregard the Aliant logo. Or
write the mayor and ask how many other providers were allowed a chance to
participate in the InterLinc program. :)

*** Save That Win95 Password ***

Tired of manually entering your password every time you log on to Internet
Nebraska? Windows 95 allows you to save your password so that it is
automatically entered when you connect. Generally, this can be done by
simply putting a check-mark in the "Save Password" box on the "Connect To"
screen. This feature will only work if Client for Microsoft Networks has
been enabled on your system.

To enable the Client for Microsoft Networks, follow these simple steps
(have your Windows 95 CD ready; you may need it):

1. Go to the Network Control Panel (double-click My Computer/Control
        Panel/Network).

2. Check your list of installed network components to be sure that
Client for Microsoft Networks is not already installed. If not,
        click Add.

3. On the Select Network Component Type screen, select Client then click
        Add.

4. On the Select Network Client screen, select Microsoft from the
list of manufacturers and Client for Microsoft Networks from the
        list of Network Clients.

5. Click OK. The Client for Microsoft Networks will be installed on
your system, enabling you to save your login password. You will
need to restart your computer to save the changes to your network
        settings.

A word of caution: The first time you restart Windows 95 after the Client
for Microsoft Networks is installed, you will be prompted for a "Windows
Login Password." You can enter anything you like for your Windows login
and password (it is entirely unrelated to your Internet Nebraska login and
password). If you would prefer not to have a separate Windows login and
password, simply enter nothing at all for the password and you will not be
prompted a second time.
